If you need to fit handlebars on a BMX, proceed with these straightforward steps:

Use an Allen key to loosen the faceplate of the stem.
Insert the handlebar into the stem, ensuring the knurled part is precisely centred.
Position the stem by fastening it around the handlebars. Initially, tighten the bolts by hand.
With an Allen key, tighten each bolt. Make gradual adjustments in a crisscross pattern to maintain even tightness.
Before completing the tightening process, verify the uniformity of the gap between the stem and its faceplate. Tighten each bolt fully if the gap is consistent, continuing with the crisscross approach.

Your handlebars are now securely attached.
