Primitive Skate made a dramatic entry into the market by launching a limited edition of 500 gold-foil Primitive decks. The enthusiasm this generated was so overwhelming that the company swiftly moved into full-scale production.

Since that time, they have maintained their independent route, while also engaging in numerous partnerships, including notable skateboard decks for Dragon Ball Z and Naruto.
