The brand Karakoram, based in the United States, is renowned for its premium splitboard and snowboard bindings. Karakoram bindings are designed to excel on both the slopes and off-piste, aligning with the brand's aim to ignite a fresh wave of innovation in backcountry activities.

Established in 2008, Karakoram was the brainchild of twin brothers in Washington State who sought to merge their engineering expertise with their mutual love for the slopes. At that time, they were disappointed with the limited splitboard gear options available, which drove them to create the finest hardware possible.

Karakoram is committed to a local focus, sourcing almost all components from Washington, with every binding carefully assembled by hand in their own facility. The company’s workforce designs and constructs each item as if it were intended for personal use.
