Most professional riders prefer their decks made from Hard Rock Maple wood, which is also utilised in Flip complete skateboards.

Originating from England, Flip skateboards were founded by Jeremy Fox and Geoff Rowley. They soon moved operations to America, assembling a remarkable team of riders. Skateboarders like Bob Burnquist, Luan Oliveira, and Tom Penny joined the Flip team, and during the 2000s, skateboard movies evolved significantly when Flip released some of the era's most influential skate videos.
