Chet Thomas founded the Darkstar brand in 1997, and it is part of Dwindle Distribution, located in El Segundo, California. Since 2005, Dwindle Distribution has held the title of the largest skateboard company globally. Steve Rocco, along with professional skateboarder Rodney Mullen, was behind the company's inception.
