BMX Seat Posts
Discover the Ideal BMX Seat Post
A BMX seat post is the equipment that connects the BMX frame to the seat. Available in various lengths and colours, they also differ in how they attach to the seat. Ensuring compatibility between your seat post and seat style is crucial, which is why many riders opt for a new post when acquiring a new seat.
Additional motivations for altering a BMX bike seat post include desiring either more or less post length, or a broader range of angle adjustment options.
Varieties of BMX Seat Posts
BMX Pivotal Seat Post
This is the most prevalent type of seat post. It allows for easy attachment of the seat via a bolt, which is tightened or loosened from the top of the seat. Secured into position by the metal teeth on both the post and seat, it provides various seat angle options.
BMX Stealth Seat Post
This latest version of the pivotal design is identical in all aspects except one. The stealth seat post connects at the bottom through a threaded hole rather than from the top. Its primary benefit is the absence of a hole in the seat.
BMX Combo Seat Post
Named for its combination of post and seat, this style is fixed, preventing seat angle adjustment. The combo design compensates for this with its lightweight and robust nature.
BMX Tripod Seat Post
This design attaches to the seat at three points, which gives it the tripod designation. It offers a sleek appearance without needing a hole in the seat, but it has only two seat angle adjustments available.
BMX Rail Seat Post
The railed seat post includes two plates that grip the rails beneath the seat, equipped with teeth on the plates to adjust the seat angle.
