Mini BMX Bikes
Understanding Mini BMX Bikes
Mini BMX bikes are a variant of BMX, distinguished by their compact frames and thick, robust wheels. Despite their diminutive size, these bikes are crafted to operate like conventional freestyle BMX and can endure significant impacts.
Similar to standard BMX bikes, mini BMX frames are constructed from Chromoly steel or high-tensile steel, ensuring a durable, long-lasting setup. However, the handlebars are comparable in size to those of freestyle and racing models. This gives mini BMX bikes a distinctive appearance that will ensure you stand out at the skatepark.
Distinguishing Mini BMX from Standard BMX
The most notable difference lies in the tyres. Mini BMX tyres measure 10 inches in diameter, while typical freestyle tyres are 20 inches. This reduced diameter ensures the setup and centre of gravity remain closer to the ground.
Moreover, the tyre tread is designed to provide improved traction on dirt tracks and when attempting jumps at the skatepark. Due to their chunky wheels, most mini BMX are equipped without brakes.
Advantages of Owning a Mini BMX
Purchasing a mini BMX is an investment you won't regret. These bikes are adaptable and suitable for all environments, allowing you to practise on the street, dirt tracks, and at the skatepark. Additionally, because they are intended to be compact, you won’t need to worry about your child or yourself outgrowing it.
