The Story Behind Finger Skateboards

Originating in the 1970s, fingerboards were initially crafted as keychains by professional skaters. It wasn't until a homemade fingerboard was showcased in the skateboarding video “Future Primitive” in 1985 that they began gaining traction within the skateboarding community. By the late 1990s, finger skateboards started achieving broader popularity and recognition beyond skateboard enthusiasts.

As time has passed, the quality of fingerboard decks and their components has improved significantly. It is now widely recognised that fingerboards are not merely decorative, but also provide a fantastic way to practise and perform real skateboard tricks.
