Freeskates, sometimes referred to as freestyle skates or urban inline skates, are adaptable inline skates often used in city settings. They are constructed to be more robust and supportive compared to standard fitness skates. Therefore, they incorporate a boot with a high cuff and rigid shell coupled with a short frame, offering skaters superior ankle support and excellent manoeuvrability for executing sharp turns.

These skates come with lightweight yet sturdy aluminium frames and are available in both three-wheel and four-wheel configurations. Freestyle inline skates can be opted for with either smaller or larger wheels, depending on the skating environment and your intended activities.

Selecting the Perfect Freeskates

Slalom skating is a style typically performed on smooth terrain, aiming to weave through cones while executing quick turns and jumps. Wheels with a diameter of 80mm - 84mm are common for slalom freeskates, as they allow rapid acceleration and excellent mobility.

Urban skating is ideal for individuals looking to glide through the city at high speeds. For this discipline, larger wheels, ranging from 90mm - 125mm in size, are most suitable. Although larger wheels offer less manoeuvrability, they roll seamlessly over diverse surfaces, allowing navigation across minor cobblestones and small grassy patches.
