Custom Scooters
Custom Scooters: when performance and look is key
The life of a scooter is tough. The grinding against the curb, the impacts on the deck while practicing Bri flips, and the hits on the fork during high jumps. As you improve, your tricks will become more advanced, your jumps higher, and the verts you drop into bigger.
A custom scooter lets you choose everything from the weight and length of the deck to the hardness of the wheels, resulting in a scooter that excels in quality, durability, and appearance, and is 100 percent tailor-made for you.
In short, a custom scooter allows you to design a unique scooter that reflects your personality and makes you stand out from the crowd.
Let’s get started
There are two options for custom scooters. The first is to let your imagination run wild and choose all the parts yourself, from compression bolts to decks and grip tape, ending up with the scooter of your dreams. You can assemble it yourself or have our experts do it. You can also use our “Custom Scooter Builder” tool to turn your dream into reality.
The second option is to choose one of our complete customs, which our specialists have put together from scratch. All you have to do is pick one from our awesome designs. All our customs consist of high-end parts only. Check out our completes here.
Feel the difference
Whether you're into dropping into verts, performing technical tricks at the skate park, or enjoying high jumps and curb grinding on the street, the right setup is key. There are as many perceptions of the perfect setup as there are riders. It all depends on your size, riding style, and preferences.
Park and vert
A short and light aluminum deck makes your scooter more agile and easier to perform technical tricks, barspins, and tailwhips. If you're into grinding boxes and rails, consider getting a wide deck. It may be heavier, but it provides better control when grinding.
If you enjoy riding verts or doing air tricks, consider a longer, bulkier deck. It may weigh more, but it can handle a lot of impacts without breaking and provides stability when landing. For bars, an aluminum bar makes your scooter light but isn't as sturdy as a steel bar. If your scooter takes a lot of beatings or you ride it hard, carefully consider which type of bar to buy. If you're riding in a park on surfaces like concrete or wood, soft wheels offer excellent grip.
Street
If you're into high jumps, a long, sturdy reinforced aluminum deck provides excellent stability when landing on flat surfaces. If you grind every curb and bench you see, a boxed deck with flat sides and a flat bottom offers excellent control when grinding. The shape also makes it easier to hook onto the things you want to grind. For technical tricks, a short and light deck offers great maneuverability.
When choosing a bar for street riding, consider the amount of pressure you put on it. An aluminum bar is light and makes it easier to perform tricks, but a steel bar is stronger and more durable. For wheels, decide between soft wheels or hard wheels that can withstand the beatings from curbs, pavement, and asphalt.
Express yourself
A custom scooter is the ultimate way to express your personality. It's not just about color when choosing the 12 parts for your new scooter; it's also about attitude and lifestyle.
Do you live by the motto "the faster, the better"? Then a light and tight aluminum setup with fast wheels might be perfect for you. If you love bling and shiny stuff, why not get a gold scooter with flashy neochrome wheels, cool tie-dye grip tape, and standout pegs? The combinations are endless, and the chances of ending up with something that anyone else has are minimal.
Use our “Custom Scooter Builder” tool and watch your creation come to life as you build it. Once finished, you can name it and share the result with friends and family. Feel free to share it with our experts if you need feedback or advice on your new scooter. Watch how to use the "Build-a-Scooter" tool in the video above.
