Description
Replacement skins for Twin Skin Fischer cross country skis made entirely of mohair.
For a ski length of 182cm, 187cm, and 192cm, use 41cm skins.
For a ski length of 197cm, 202cm, and 207cm, use 45cm skins.
Fischer Twin Skin Race Mohair Skins can be replaced with ease:
1) To detach the old skins, gently heat them using a hairdryer or iron.
2) Then, starting from the back, carefully lift and detach the old skin with a sharp tool.
3) Clear the skin groove and eliminate any remaining adhesive traces.
4) Peel off around 5cm of the protective film from the front of the new skin.
5) Ensure the hairs are aligned correctly: when you move your finger over them from the front to the back, there should be no resistance felt.
6) Align the skin in the groove at the front and press it down using your finger.
7) Subsequently, press the skin into the groove starting from the front to the back. Then, slowly pull off the film from front to back with one hand, while your other hand gently presses the skin down also moving from front to back. Important: avoid stretching the skin as it should retain its original length and secure fit in the skin groove.
Finally, go over the skin multiple times with your hand, pressing it to confirm there are no irregularities. Should any bumps appear, smooth them out.
