Customising the Mouthguard: Alert! Boiling water can be hazardous!

1. Boil the water and wait for 30 seconds before submerging the adult guard in the water for 70 seconds. (30 seconds for Youth)

2. Retrieve the guard using a spoon, shake off the water, and immediately centre the guard on the upper teeth. (The guard should still be warm)

3. Once the upper teeth are centred, gently bite down and use your tongue to remove air and excess water from the guard. Fingers can also be employed to press the protector firmly against the exterior.

4. Keep the guard in your mouth for 30 seconds, then take it out and place it under cold running water.

5. If the fit is not quite right, repeat the process until the fit is perfect.

6. Should the guard be slightly too large, use a knife to trim off a portion of the ends.
