Drifter 2018 Kite

A steady and responsive kite for kitesurfing crafted by Cabrinha. The Drifter is designed for wave riding and freestyle surfing, offering characteristics like excellent control and pop.

The Drifter kite incorporates Pure Profile Panels, exceptional power delivery, and effective Slack line Drift - everything you will appreciate for a fantastic time on the waves, allowing you to concentrate on the waves themselves, rather than focusing on the kite’s aerial position, as it provides a consistent pull and power for your tricks and cutbacks.

Features:

• 1X Security

When the 1x security system is activated, the kite’s power is instantly neutralised, causing it to rest serenely on the water or land.

• Dynamic Arc

This innovation permits the kite to adopt two distinct arc shapes.
One arc shape is maintained while airborne, and a different one when resting on the water, allowing it to open slightly more for an easier relaunch.

• High Tenacity Dacron

The material employed by Cabrinha enhances structural integrity whilst simultaneously combatting deformation during flight, reducing elongation to produce more precise and predictable kites.

• Onshore/Offshore

This technology is built into the Drifter kites. The offshore setting optimises performance for surfing in side shore and offshore winds, facilitating improved upwind ability for easier cutbacks in offshore wind. The onshore setting maximises performance for surfing in side shore and onshore winds, enabling maximum “drift” and tighter turns.

• Power Control

Each rear line “pig tail” connector on the kite features three power options to select from. The middle position is the factory-recommended setting. Select the knot nearest to the kite to generate more power. Opt for the knot closest to the rider to decrease power.

• Pure Profile Panels

To equip the kites with proper and stable aerodynamic profiles, Cabrinha strategically arranges panels in the design. This enhances efficiency, performance, and performance range.

• Skeletal Frame

This technology fortifies the kite's structure when in use and ensures stability. It also simplifies re-launching.

• Slackline Drift

This technology is present in the Drifter kites. It allows the kite to self-park and stay airborne longer when the lines go slack, enabling you to focus entirely on riding the wave.

• Sprint System W/ Airlock

This substantial airlock system enables quick inflation and rapid deflation post-session. Each strut can be secured to maintain the kite frame's rigidity and isolate any accidental strut deflation from the rest of the kite.
