Although the Shock Sleeve Pro Knee Gasket by Ennui may not offer the identical extent of safeguarding as a heavily cushioned, hard-cap protector, it certainly compensates for this by allowing unrestricted movement during your action sport activities.
An internally fitted, stretchable knitted cotton sleeve is equipped with silicone strips to halt slipping, ensuring a snug fit so that the pads remain securely in place. These pads incorporate a uniquely crafted material—SPC—born from the collaboration between the development team at Ennui/Powerslide and the experts at MyFit, who produce skate liners for Powerslide.
This material not only absorbs the impact force but also aids in dispersing it throughout the structure, ensuring your joints experience minimal impact. The Pro version is enhanced with an abrasion-resistant Kevlar coating, delivering increased flexibility, comfort, and protection compared to the non-pro version whilst allowing even greater freedom of movement.
A notable advantage of this soft-shell protection is its lightweight nature and the capability to be worn beneath ordinary clothing, enabling you to maintain a stylish appearance while remaining fully protected.
In addition to mitigating crash impacts, the pro version also offers protection against slides with its highly abrasion-resistant Aramid fibre cover. A wise option for downhill longboarders and speed skaters, the pro model is marginally lighter than its non-pro counterpart, weighing almost nothing.
